I’ve been lucky enough to visit 24 countries so far, 3 of which I have lived in.
Scroll down to see a few shots from some of the places I have been to and check out my blog page for more details about all of them.
Countries lived in:
The UK, Malta, Lanzarote and Mallorca
Tenerife, Spain, Mallorca, Lanzarote, Futerventura, Malta, Italy, The Vatican City, Hungary, Czech Republic, Menorca, Gran Canaria, Costa Rica, Canada, USA, Turkey, France, Belgium, Cuba, Cyprus, Greece, Luxembourg and The UK
I lived in Malta for 2 years, from 2018 until 2020. I saw so much whilst I was there, but I definitely don’t think I got to see all of the island. See my blog post ‘Discover Malta’ to find out some of the best things to do whilst there.
Cuba – I went on a spontaneous trip to Cuba with my friend in December 2018. It is a beautiful country, although some areas seem very poor, but the locals are some of the most friendly people you could wish to meet.
I visited the beautiful city of Thessaloniki in 2019 with a friend, we spent a long weekend exploring and enjoying delicious Greek cuisine.
Traveller tip: there are lots of steep streets in the old town, make sure you have a good pair of shoes to explore in.
In 2016 I went on my first solo trip, I went to 4 countries. I spent 16 days touring around Italy with a tour company called Contiki.
Places visited over the 16 days: Rome, Naples, Venice, Verona, Milan, Capri, Florence, Sorrento, Pompeii, Lake Garda, Vatican City, Lake Como, Cinque Terre, Italian Riviera and Pisa.
It makes me sad that I have only visited 2 cities in Spain, my plan was to visit more in 2020 but due to the pandemic this didn’t happen.
In 2016 I visited Barcelona as part of my first solo trip and then at Christmas 2019 I went to Madrid for a couple of days before heading home to spend Christmas with my family in the UK.
Paris, the city of love, so how ironic that I did actually go with an ex boyfriend. I don’t have a lot of memories of Paris as it was back in 2014, but I hope to go again in the future! What I do remember is all the buildings and the stunning architecture. I was lucky enough to see the Notre Dame before the tragic fire.
Istanbul was a spontaneous trip booked with some of the friends I made in Costa Rica. We went for 3 nights and explored Istanbul as best we could, along with having a pre booked Haman Spa experience – something I can’t even begin to explain.
I would like to go back to Istanbul as I know I didn’t see much of the city. Turkey is a country I would like to explore a lot more.
A very quick trip to Brussels and Bruges over a weekend. There is a lot to do there. My favourite place has to be Bruges though as it was so quaint and had a relaxing feeling to it.
Traveller tip: try and find restaurants/cafes off the main squares as they are much more reasonable in price. In the Grand Square, Brussels I paid almost £7 for a pint of beer!
My first long haul flight, and my absolute favourite country. I will be doing a more in detail blog post about CR soon.
This country makes you feel alive, from the wild animals that you see, to the people you meet and the diversity in the different areas. This trip opened up my eyes to travel more than before.
Traveller tip: take STRONG mosquito spray as they are everywhere, come rain or shine and the only way to keep them away is with something strong.
